Mount Laurel's Green Team:
Mount Laurel's first Green Expo was a success drawing over 400 residents. The
event featured 20 exhibitors, Harrington and Lenape environmental clubs, PAWS,
and Burlington County College's NASA Mobile Science Classroom. As a follow-up,
the Mt Laurel Green Team will have a public meeting on Thursday, May 6th from
6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Mount Laurel Library. The meeting has two primary
goals, to inform community members about Mt Laurel Township’s sustainability
efforts and to solicit suggestions and volunteers to expand these efforts.
Please join us to find out more about Mount Laurel's Green Team and how to get
involved! If you have questions, or cannot attend the meeting but want to get
involved, contact Ed Cohen: phone: 609-217-1412 email:

Lenape High School Project
Graduation:
Every year at graduation,
high school seniors across the country are injured or killed in tragic car
accidents. Many of these accidents occur because students go to parties after
graduation, drink alcohol and drive.
This is the 18th consecutive year that Lenape Partners (the parents/staff group
at Lenape High School) and the sponsorship of Mt. Laurel Municipal Alliance as
funded by the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (GCADA) are
teaming up to throw the graduating seniors an alcohol and drug-free party. We
believe that if we offer a fun and exciting alternative for the students, they
will choose to attend. In fact, in the past years, more that 80% of the Lenape
graduates have attended the Project Graduation party. We want to keep our teens
sober and off the streets to protect both them and the community from harm.
Your support is the key to a successful night! We need:
·
Cash/check (suggested amount
$35.00 plus ) to purchase prizes for the seniors (one of the main reasons they
come!) In addition to making a personal contribution, please consider asking
your employer, neighbors and businesses you frequent.
·
Prize donations such as
microwaves, TV-DVD combos, digital cameras, iPods, and laptops
There will be an acknowledgement of business donors printed in the newspaper
after Project Graduation takes place.
Donations may be mailed to
Lenape High School, Project Graduation, 235 Hartford Road, Medford, NJ 08055
Thank you for your anticipated support!
