Multi-Sport Turf Complex:
On Monday, January 14, 2008, Council held its first regular meeting for 2008.  Prior to this meeting they met in closed session to discuss the 9 applications from professionals to design and oversee the construction of the Multi-Sport Turf Complex that it is building on the Conrow property that was purchased with Open Space Funds.  Council narrowed the field down to 2 applicants and agreed to hold a special meeting when all Council members would be available. Presidential Primary:
On Tuesday, February 5, 2008 - New Jersey is holding its Presidential Primary.  This is for nominees of the President ONLY. If you are registered as a Democrat or a Republican, you can only vote for a person of your party.  If you are undeclared or independent, you may vote for one party or the other but you then would become a registered member of the party that you voted for.  Whew!  I hope I got that right.

Fire Department Vote:  On Saturday, February 16, 2008 - the Mount Laurel Fire Department is asking you to cast your ballot for its budget and select four officials to the Fire Commission. The Voting will take place at the Fire Station closest to your house, not where you usually vote for general elections and primaries. The polls will be open from 2pm until 9pm.  If you have any questions, please contact the Fire Department at 856.234.6053 or visit their website to review the 2008 Budget at www.mountlaurelfire.com  An informed voter is a smart voter.
